The Origin Story: Alexander Lu-Pon, PMP
After graduating from the University of the Pacific in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration and second degree in Communication, I joined the ranks of Accenture – a consulting firm with an international presence, where I worked for a number years. In 2011, I moved to Ulixes Consulting, whom I am still with today. I earned my Project Management Professional certification in June 2013, and to date, my client history includes Fortune 500 members such as Cisco Systems, Pepsico, Ingram Micro, and eBay.
I have been in the project management industry for nearly a decade – which is crazy considering that our constant struggle for instant gratification makes even our two-year mobile phone contracts seem too long. I live in California’s Silicon Valley, and I enjoy participating in start-ups, think tanks, and a free exchange of ideas.
This endeavor would not have been possible without several key supporters of my exploration of Project and Program Management through the lens of Geek Culture. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Amy Wong who has been invaluable in helping me establish the infrastructure for this blog; while at the same time being my rock and my sounding board.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you continue to visit my blog from time to time.
